Especially enjoyed your detailed day journal entries -- really felt like we were along for the discoveries! My only disappointment was the abruptness of the ending of the book -- after traveling far and wide "with you" over the year I felt left out of your final celebration at the end -- and wished you'd included the year-end celebration party of friends and experts with their views of how it all went and what your historical year and record meant to the greater birding world and especially for the women in the birding community!Jackiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08628011309301010981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4686639238160577091.post-29492103974332527812011-06-22T08:41:13.430-05:002011-06-22T08:41:13.430-05:00Welcome to South Dakota! Also, a few bird organizations around, such as a new branch office of Rocky Mountain Bird Organization in Rapid City. So hope you will join us when you get settled in!

Nancy
nancy.drilling@rmbo.orgAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4686639238160577091.post-7321990387027149802011-06-18T06:06:04.853-05:002011-06-18T06:06:04.853-05:00Hi Lynn! I am a relatively inexperienced (3 years), but avid birder. I've been here for 10 years, having come from Philadelphia. There are a small number avid birders here in the area. Contact me, and I'll be happy to arrange for you to meet some of us. The birding here is pretty good - I just saw a fairly rare Yellow-crowned Night-Heron about a week ago in Pennington County.

Again, welcome.

Dick Latuchie
rlatuchie@gmail.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4686639238160577091.post-40563978636779990532011-05-21T01:50:14.521-05:002011-05-21T01:50:14.521-05:00It's a wonderfully written book, Lynn.
